“My experience with Leslie Lockwood has been life changing. She was an SLP to my son who had delayed language as well as neurodiversity. She was patient with him and assisted him in his growth to communicate with others verbally and socially. I appreciated that she was able to offer assistance, when I asked her for homework that I could do with him at home to help him along with his speech. Many SLP’s do not have the time to offer extra homework because of their busy caseload.However, she took the time out of her busy schedule to provide the extra work and showed me how I could help my son further along with his goals. Any child or adult would be lucky to have her as their therapist. Patients and understanding is very important during speech therapy, and she is the person to provide it. My son is now 25 years old and his major in college is Pop/commercial and vocal performance. He still remembers working with Mrs.Lockwood and thinks highly of her. I will always be grateful for her guidance and blessed that she was part of my son’s growth.
